Garment Care

Veil Care

When your veil arrives, it’ll be carefully folded or clipped in a garment bag with the rest of your wedding attire. To keep it looking its best, here’s what to do:

  • Gently unwrap or unbox your veil, letting it drop naturally. Lay it out or hang it up to help any creases fall out on their own.
  • To keep its shape, use the clip provided and hang it up so it falls naturally.
  • Once your veil is hanging, store it in a protective bag to keep it safe from dust and anything else that might snag it, like buttons or scarves in your closet.

A few days before the wedding:

  • A couple of days before the big day, make sure your veil is fully unfolded to let any remaining wrinkles fall out. If you haven’t already, hang it up so it drapes smoothly.
  • For minor creases, run a hot steamy shower and hang your veil in the bathroom for 5-10 minutes—the steam should help smooth things out.
  • For more stubborn wrinkles, use a steamer with care. Be extra gentle around any embellishments since they’re delicate. Let the veil cool down completely before handling it again.
  • And a heads-up—never, ever, iron your veil. The fabric is super delicate and can melt with too much heat.

If you want your veil to be a keepsake for generations, store it in something pH-neutral to prevent yellowing. An acid-free box or protective sleeve will help keep it looking beautiful for future brides.

We’re all about sustainability, so if you’re up for giving your veil a new life, we’re here to help. It could be turned into a cute little top or something else you’ll love. Just reach out, and we’ll make it happen <3
